03 · Natural
Jump cuts that still sound natural
If you cut every silence to zero, people sound like they're gasping. Voxcene leaves a little air. It only looks at gaps of 0.8 seconds or more, keeps 0.15 seconds on either side of the speech, and skips any removal too small to matter.
Short pauses in the middle of a sentence are marked Keep, because they're often part of how someone talks. Longer ones come up for review instead of being cut automatically.

Questions people ask
How do I remove silence from a video automatically?
Open the video in Voxcene, tap AI Studio → AI Auto Trim, check the list of pauses it found, then tap Select safe only and Cut. The captions move with every cut.
Will it cut pauses I want to keep?
Only if you choose to. Every possible cut is shown before anything happens, marked Safe, Review or Keep. A short pause in the middle of a sentence, for example, is marked Keep. Only the Safe ones start ticked, and nothing is cut until you say so.
What kinds of silence does it find?
The silence before you start speaking, the silence after you finish, long gaps where nothing happens, pauses between sentences, and pauses in the middle of a sentence.
Does it work on videos with several clips?
Yes. Each cut is made wherever that moment plays on the main video track, and pauses you've already cut are left out of the list. It needs the video to be transcribed first.
Can I undo it?
Yes. One undo puts every silence back. The cuts also appear under Removed, where you can put any of them back.
