Comparison

Short answer: Captions is the more mature app, with lip-synced AI dubbing, Android, web and Mac versions, and hundreds of ratings in Greece. Voxcene is the better fit for longer videos (up to 90 minutes on Premium), for Greek typography done properly, and for brand work: a song sung for your brand, a logo intro and a brand kit, in the same app. On price it’s close: in the Greek App Store, Voxcene Basic is a euro cheaper per month (€8.99 vs €9.99), while Captions Basic is cheaper per year (€69.99 vs €89.99). We make Voxcene. Every Captions fact below comes from Captions’ own help centre or its App Store listing, checked on 13 October 2026.

Choose Captions if…

  • You need dubbing that matches the lips. That’s Captions’ AI Lipdub, and Voxcene doesn’t do it.
  • You work on Android, the web or a Mac as well as an iPhone.
  • You want a free plan without a watermark for basic captions.

Choose Voxcene if…

  • Your videos are long. Interviews, talks, lessons and episodes fit in one project: up to 90 minutes on Premium.
  • You publish in Greek. Capitals without accents, title case that keeps them, a proper «ς», and line breaks that never strand «και» or «στη». See how to add Greek subtitles on iPhone.
  • You’re building a brand. A song sung for your brand from a short brief (how it works), a 5-second logo intro, and your fonts and colours on every caption.
  • You want to see every AI cut first. Fillers, silences and suggested edits are listed with Safe / Review / Keep, and nothing changes until you apply it.
