Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Voxcene. They are written to be understood. Where the law requires a specific form of words, you will notice — everywhere else, plain language is deliberate and carries exactly the meaning it appears to.

Who you are agreeing with

Voxcene is operated by [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME — TO BE COMPLETED], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS — TO BE COMPLETED]. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means the person using the app.

Using Voxcene means accepting these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

You need to be 16

Voxcene is not available to anyone under 16. If you use it for a company, you confirm you may enter agreements on its behalf.

Your account

Keep your login to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms or the law, and we will tell you why unless telling you would itself be unlawful.

Subscriptions and payment

Voxcene has a free tier and paid plans. All payments go through Apple. We never handle or see your payment details.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Apple charges your account within 24 hours before each period begins.
• Cancel any time in Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep what you paid for until the period ends.
• Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Only Apple can do that, in the place above.
• Introductory offers apply once per Apple Account. If you have had one for a plan before, the standard price applies.
• Prices may change. We will tell you first, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Refunds and your right to change your mind

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us — we have no ability to issue one. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends once delivery has begun with your consent — which is what starting a subscription and using the service does. This does not affect your rights if the service is faulty.

Your content stays yours

You own everything you upload and everything you make with Voxcene. We claim no ownership of your video, your captions or your exports.

To actually run the service, you give us a limited licence to store, copy, transcode, transcribe, translate and display your content — strictly for the purpose of providing Voxcene to you. It is not transferable, it is not for marketing, and it ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content to train models.

You confirm you have the rights to what you upload, including permission from anyone identifiable in it and any licence needed for music you add.

The AI features

Transcription, translation, dubbing, generated images and the editing suggestions are automated and imperfect. They will sometimes be wrong, and on names, jargon and crosstalk they will sometimes be confidently wrong.

• Check anything before you publish it. A mistranslated caption is published under your name, not ours.
• We do not claim ownership of AI output produced for you. Whether such output can be owned at all varies by country and is not something we can promise.
• Synthetic voice must not be used to imitate a real person without their permission.
• Where the law requires you to disclose that content is AI-generated or AI-altered, that obligation is yours.

What you must not do

• Break the law, or use Voxcene to help anyone else break it.
• Upload content you have no right to use.
• Create material that is sexual content involving minors, incites violence or hatred, harasses someone, or deceives people about a real person's words or actions.
• Resell, rent out or white-label the service, or use it to build a competing product.
• Attack the service — scrape it, reverse engineer it, work around usage limits, or overload it deliberately.

Availability, and things being deleted

We aim to keep Voxcene running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted. Maintenance, provider outages and bugs all happen.

Storage is not a backup. Source uploads are deleted 24 hours after they process, and exports after 30 days. Save anything you care about to your own device. The Privacy Policy sets out the full schedule.

Features can change. If we remove something significant that you are paying for, we will tell you and you may cancel.

Ending it

You can stop using Voxcene whenever you like and ask us to delete your account. We may end or suspend your access if you materially break these terms — for a breach that can be fixed, we will ask first. If we end your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of a paid period through Apple.

Warranties and liability

Voxcene is provided as is. Beyond what the law requires, we do not warrant that it will meet your needs, run uninterrupted, or produce accurate transcriptions, translations or edits.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer under mandatory law. Those rights sit above this agreement and are unaffected by anything below.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost opportunities, or lost content where you had the ability to keep your own copy; and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

Buying through the App Store

These terms apply to the App Store version, with the following:

• This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Voxcene or its content.
• You get a non-transferable licence to use Voxcene on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
• We are solely responsible for support and maintenance. Apple has no obligation to provide any.
• If Voxcene fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claim, loss, cost or expense is our responsibility.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claim that Voxcene fails to conform to legal requirements, any product liability claim, any consumer protection claim, and any claim that Voxcene infringes someone's intellectual property.
• You confirm you are not in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not on any U.S. Government prohibited-parties list.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a material change we will give notice in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use Voxcene afterwards means accepting it. If you would rather not, cancel — that is a legitimate answer and we would rather have it than a resentful subscriber.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of [GOVERNING LAW COUNTRY — TO BE COMPLETED], and disputes go to [COURTS OF JURISDICTION — TO BE COMPLETED]. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim in your own local courts.

The rest

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Not enforcing something immediately does not waive it. These terms, plus the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
